Frequently asked questions

Using the tool

Do I need to create an account?

No. Open the editor and start. Everything is saved automatically in your browser on this device. Use Project → Download backup file to keep a copy or move to another computer (Restore from backup).

How do I import my guest list?

Copy the cells from Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets and paste them into the import box, or upload a CSV. We detect columns such as First/Last name, Party or Household, Group (e.g. “Bride’s family”), Meal and Notes. You can change any column mapping before importing. Excel files: save as CSV first, or just copy and paste the cells.

How does auto-seat work?

Guests who share a Party/Household value are treated as one unit and always seated together. Units with the same group tag are placed at the same tables, larger groups first, and tables are filled snugly. Your “keep apart” and “seat together” rules are respected, and the head table is left for you to fill by hand (you can include it if you like). It’s deterministic: the same list and tables always give the same result, so nothing shuffles unexpectedly.

Can I seat specific people at specific seats?

Yes. Drag a guest onto a seat. Dropping onto an occupied seat swaps the two guests. Choose “Only seat unseated guests” when auto-seating to keep the placements you made by hand.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes, though it’s designed desktop-first. On a phone, tap a guest and then tap a table or seat to place them. The guest “find your seat” page is built for phones.

Is there a guest limit?

No fixed limit. The print layouts automatically fit names to the sign; for very large weddings (250+) we recommend the 24×36 or A1 size, or the alphabetical layout.

Printing

What sizes can I print?

Signs: 18×24, 24×36, 16×20 and 11×17 inches, and A1, A2 and A3, portrait or landscape. Escort cards (3.5×2 in, 10 per sheet), tent place cards (3.75×2.5 in folded, 4 per sheet), table numbers (4×6 in, two per sheet, or 5×7 in) and a 5×7 in QR sign, all on US Letter or A4 paper with cut marks. See our sign size guide.

Will it look sharp at a print shop?

Yes. Paid downloads are vector PDFs with embedded fonts, so text stays crisp at any size. Send the PDF as-is and ask for it to be printed at 100% / actual size.

What paper should I use for cards?

A matte cardstock around 80–110 lb cover (216–300 gsm) works well in most home printers. Print at 100% (not “fit to page”), cut along the marks, and fold tent cards on the dashed line.

Can I print just a test page first?

Yes — free preview downloads are watermarked but printable, so you can check sizing and paper before you buy.

Guest page & privacy

How does the “find your seat” page work?

After unlocking, press Publish. You get a short link and QR code. Guests scan it, type their name and see their table. If you change the seating, press Update and the same link shows the new chart within about a minute.

What data do you store?

Your guest list stays in your browser. We only receive data when you publish a guest page — and then only guest names and table names (never meals, notes or groups). Payment details go to Paddle, never to us. See the Privacy Policy.

Payment

How much does it cost?

$29 once per wedding (plus sales tax/VAT where applicable). No subscription. Everything is free to build and preview.

Who processes payments?

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles billing questions and returns.

I paid on another computer — how do I unlock here?

Open your backup file on the new computer (the unlock travels with it), or click Unlock → “Already paid?” and paste the transaction ID from your Paddle receipt email (it starts with txn_).

What’s your refund policy?

If you’re not happy for any reason, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund — no questions asked. Details on our Refund Policy.
