Printing folded A2 cards at home

1. Choose the letter-sheet layout and print page 1 and 2 double-sided, flip on long edge, at 100% scale.
2. Cut each sheet across the middle (at 5.5 in) — you get two flat 8.5 × 5.5 in cards.
3. Score and fold each card in half. A bone folder or the back of a butter knife gives a crisp fold.

Home printers can’t print to the very edge of the paper, so a thin white margin may appear on the outer edges when “Print the background colour” is on. For white cardstock, untick it — the design is made to look finished on white.

Thank-you note wording that doesn’t sound generic

• Name the gift and how you’ll use it: “The dutch oven has already made its first Sunday stew.”
• For cash gifts, mention the plan rather than the amount: “…is going straight into our honeymoon fund.”
• Thank them for coming: “Having you there, dancing until the very last song, made our day.”
• Close warmly and sign both names.

Printing a message inside? Keep it general and add a handwritten line per guest — or tick “Leave the inside blank”. Etiquette guides commonly suggest sending wedding thank-yous within about three months.
