Wedding welcome sign size guide
The two standard sizes are 18 × 24 in and 24 × 36 in. Both are common poster and foam-board sizes, so any print shop can produce them and ready-made easels and frames fit them.

*Approximate cap height of the couple’s names in our layouts; long names shrink to fit. A common sign-industry rule of thumb is about 1 inch of letter height for every 10 feet of viewing distance.
Where to print a welcome sign
- Foam board (mounted print) — rigid, stands on an easel with no frame. The most popular choice for welcome signs.
- Poster paper — the least expensive option if you already have a frame in the same size.
- Engineering print — very low-cost large-format prints on thin paper. Colour is usually limited, so it suits the Modern Minimal design (black on white) best.
Upload the PDF and choose the same size as the file. If the order form asks about scaling, pick “actual size” or “no scaling”. A matte finish reduces glare in photos.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use full names?
Yes. Each name line automatically shrinks to fit the sign, so “Anastasia Montgomery-Fitzgerald” fits as neatly as “Ava”. Most couples use first names on welcome signs and full names on programs.
Can I change the size after buying?
Yes. Your unlock covers both sizes and all four designs for your wedding, and you can edit and re-download as often as you like.
Will it look blurry when printed large?
No. The PDF is vector artwork with embedded fonts, so text and ornaments stay sharp at 24 × 36 in. The PNG is 150 dpi, which print shops accept for posters.
